Children’s Christmas Parade

Christmas LightsDo you take a wish list along with you as you look at apartments in Atlanta, Georgia? If so, does that list include living in an area with plenty of fun things to do? One of the nicest things about Savannah Midtown is how easy it is to get to where the action is.

One Fun Example

The Children’s Christmas Parade is an Atlanta tradition, sponsored by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. On Saturday, December 1, 2018, the parade will begin at Peachtree and 16th Streets at 10:20 a.m. – come rain or shine.

Midtown Atlanta suddenly becomes a satellite of the North Pole as the sights and sounds of the Christmas season come alive. Children of all ages will enjoy the marching bands, giant helium-filled balloons and colorful floats.

Bring a thermos of hot chocolate and settle in as thousands of spectators anxiously await Santa’s arrival, the official beginning of Atlanta’s holiday season.

Before the Parade

There are two unique breakfast events planned, both prior to the parade: Smiles of the Season Breakfast and Breakfast with Santa.

Smiles for the Season Breakfast

The breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. at 5Church Atlanta, 1197 Peachtree St. The event features a buffet breakfast, special Christmas crafts, and visits from Christmas characters and princesses. In addition to breakfast, attendees will receive bleacher tickets for the parade and a parking voucher for Colony Square.

Breakfast With Santa

Jolly Ole Saint Nick himself will oversee this event, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Four Seasons Atlanta Hotel, 75 14th St. NE. Guests at this breakfast will also enjoy a buffet and Christmas crafts. In addition, they will have the added thrill of meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus before it’s time for the couple to climb into their sleigh and ride to Peachtree Street. Attendees receive bleacher tickets on Peachtree between 11th and 12th Streets.

There’s so much to do and see in Atlanta, a city with stories to tell from as far back as 1836. Why not put yourself in the center of the action? Want to know how you can do that? Give us a call. We’d love to show you what we have to offer.
